PURPOSE: A system for detecting touches, a method thereof, remote control system and a method thereof are provided to be operated according to commend events by transmitting the events to a remote control unit based on the movement of dragging gestures. CONSTITUTION: A touch detecting unit (1010) detects touch coordinates according to touch gestures. A directing unit (1020) determines the direction of the touch gesture using touch coordinates. An information transfer unit (1030) transmits commend orders to a remote control unit on the basis of the direction. UI is displayed on a screen based on the commend events. When the touch gestures and continuous touch gestures are detected, the information transfer unit transfers the commend events to the remote control unit according to continuous touch gestures.
