<p>A push-in fastener system 10, preferably for a tent peg, comprises an elongate rigid shaft 18 being devoid of a screw-thread at its free distal end, a head 20 at a proximal end of the shaft 18, and a handle 14 which is releasably engagable with the head 20 at two different axial positions (30, 32 figure 2). The head 20 includes a proximal bearing surface (26, figure 2) on which a surface at or adjacent to a fixed opening 46 of the handle 14 is seatable during a fastener insertion condition, and a distal bearing surface (28, figure 2) on which a surface at or adjacent to the fixed opening 46 of the handle 14 is seatable during a fastener removal condition. A handle and method are also provided. The handle may comprise a flange which projects radially from the body and which may comprise two opposing wings 38.</p> |
