<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide an abnormal contact detecting method whereby an abnormal contact of an electronic component can be detected while the electronic component is being transferred. In this abnormal contact detecting method, a descending force (Fr) is operated via a rod (32) to a holding section (2) by means of a lifting motor (4), an opposing thrust force (Fopp) is applied to the rod (32) by means of a voice coil motor (37), said opposing thrust force being equivalent to a counteracting force (Fcr) received by the rod (32) with respect to the descending force (Fr), a relative float of the rod (32) with respect to the voice coil motor (37) is detected, said float corresponding to a resistive force (Fd) generated when an electronic component (D) is brought down, while the electronic component is being in contact with a carrier tape (61), and a contact of the electronic component (D) to the carrier tape (61) while being brought down is detected when the float of the rod (32) is detected.</p> |
