INDENTER FOR DETERMINATION OF HARDNESS OF METALS

摘要

Disclosed is an indenter for the determination of hardness of metals having anisotropy of properties, wherein the working section is arranged as a trihedral prism cut at the ends at angle α=45° towards the blade with angle at the top &bgr;=90° and with length of the blade L=3 mm. Geometry of working section of the indenter provides possibility of orientation and pressing the blade to the sample depending on direction of the determination of hardness, along or at angles to the direction of the material texture fibers.
