PURPOSE: A heat pump system for an electric vehicle is provided to obtain compact layout and achieve high efficiency which is suitable for a low speed electric vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A heat pump system for an electric vehicle comprises a compressor (C), a first valve (10), a first heat exchanger (20), a second heat exchanger (50), an expansion valve (40), and a second valve (60). The first valve controls the flow of a refrigerant with a first fluid path and a second fluid path. The first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger are installed in the first fluid path and the second fluid path. The expansion valve is installed between the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger. The second valve is installed in a fluid path connecting the first fluid path and the second fluid path and controls the flow of the refrigerant flowing in the compressor.
