In a TETRA mobile communications system, TETRA-encoded speech is packaged into TETRA data packets and the data packets containing the TETRA-encoded speech are then transmitted on a TETRA channel interspersed with data packets containing other data for transmission. This allows speech and packet data to be transmitted simultaneously on a single channel. |
