[Class 34(i)] Wool-like rayon filaments of the viscose or copper type are dried and set by passing the individual filament 1 through a tube 2 surrounded by an insulated heating jacket 6, the filament being dried by the steam generated therefrom and filling the tube. Outlet 3 is slightly larger than outlet 4 to allow escape of the steam.
