PURPOSE: A pouch type secondary battery is provided to facilitate the curing process after coating with an insulating material, to have excellent insulating maintenance, and to have voltage performance similar to the voltage of conventional batteries. CONSTITUTION: A pouch type secondary battery with an insulating material coated is that an electrode assembly is mounted to a pouch and has a structure sealed by a heat sealing. A heat-sealed part on the outer side of the battery exterior is coated with an insulating material and is cured. The insulating material is one or more selected from an acrylic resin, an epoxy-based resin, a silicon-based resin, and an amide-based resin. The insulating material is coated with a method that the battery is dipped into the insulating material solution. The coating thickness of the insulating material is 2 mm or less. The curing is a UV curing or a heat curing. |
