PURPOSE: An active restraint system of a traction link for a rail vehicle having independently driven wheels is provided to enable a rail vehicle to safely and stably travel on linear and curved rails. CONSTITUTION: An active restraint system of a traction link for a rail vehicle having independently driven wheels comprises a clutch part (100) and a control part (200). The clutch part is composed of a main body and fluid. One ends of first and second traction links (31, 32) are coupled to the inner sides of left and right wheels (11, 12), and the other ends are inserted into both sides of the main body to be rotated. The fluid is received in the main body and is hardened when electricity is applied thereto to connect the first and second traction links to each other. The control part is connected to the clutch part and controls the clutch part according to the curvature of a rail and acceleration information.
