PURPOSE: A two-speed transmission for electric vehicles is provided to reduce production costs by using a small motor and satisfy the driving conditions of an electric vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A two-speed transmission (1) for electric vehicles comprises a driver (10), a sun gear (20), a planetary gear (25), a carrier (30), a ring gear (40), and a synchronizer unit (50). The driver provides power. The sun gear is axially connected to the driver to be rotated. The planetary gear is linked to the outer side of the sun gear. The carrier supports to the planetary gear to be able to rotate. The ring gear is installed on the outer side of the carrier. The ring gear is engaged with the planetary gear. The synchronizer unit is axially connected to the driver to rotate with the sun gear. The synchronizer unit adjusts the change of speed by being joined to or becoming loose from the carrier.
