A reproducing method of reproducing from a storage medium video data and graphics data for displaying a menu screen is provided. The reproducing method includes decoding graphics data, outputting the decoded graphics data when an activation command is generated by a user and the decoded graphics data is first graphics data, and outputting the decoded graphics data at a designated time when the decoded graphics data is second graphics data.
