摘要 PURPOSE: A hull monitoring device using an ultrasonic sensor network and a hull monitoring method are provided to guarantee the safe sailing of a ship by monitoring deformation or damage to a hull in advance. CONSTITUTION: A hull monitoring device(110) using an ultrasonic sensor network comprises a hull communication network, a channel deformation detecting part(120), a monitoring control part(130), a deformation position detecting part(140), and a display part(150). The hull communication network is installed in a hull. Multiple ultrasonic sensors are connected to the hull communication network. The channel deformation detecting part is connected to the hull communication network and detects the change of communication channels between the ultrasonic sensors. The monitoring control part makes the ultrasonic sensors transmit channel estimating signals and estimates the changed range of the communication channels using the channel estimating signals of the ultrasonic sensors. The deformation position detecting part detects the deformed position of the hull using the channel estimating signals of the ultrasonic sensors.
