The present invention relates to nucleic acids and polypeptides associated with lung cancer. The invention is more specifically related to the nucleic acids and the polypeptides transcribed thereof, the expression of which is significantly altered in association with lung cancer. The invention relates to a series of differentially spliced transcripts of the gene disclosed herein, that are associated with tumors of the respiratory tract. Furthermore the present invention provides a method for early diagnosis, prognosis and monitoring of the disease course and for therapy and vaccination of cell proliferative disorders such as e.g. lung tumors.
