<p>PURPOSE: A method for controlling the temperature of a glow plug in a closed loop is provided to calibrate a temperature model designed for an identical glow plug based on a deviation between the identical glow plug and a connected glow plug. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling the temperature of a glow plug in a closed loop is as follows. The glow plug receives at least two different voltages during the calibration of a temperature model. The resistances of the glow plug are measured at the voltages. A resistance slope is calculated by a different index between the resistances and the voltages. The temperature model is calibrated by the operation of a control plug using the resistance slope and at least one of the measured resistances. In a control process, a temporary surface temperature of the glow plug is estimated by a model temperature while an engine is operated. The model temperature is established from the actual values of the voltages and resistances measured in the glow plug by the temperature model.</p> |
