PURPOSE: A scrap iron separating device is provided to minimize the amount of impurities mixed in an electric furnace. CONSTITUTION: A scrap iron separating device(100) comprises a hopper(120), a transfer guide(130), a separation unit(110), and a cover(140). The transfer guide is installed at the lower part of the hopper and transfers the scrap iron. The separation unit is composed of cylindrical shape in which a plurality of separation holes(111). The separation unit separated the scrap iron flowed in through the transfer guide. The separation unit separates the scrap iron into the first iron and the second iron based on the size of the first separation hole. The cover surrounds the separate unit and prevents dust included in the second iron scrap from being scattered in the air. A first vibrating unit is additionally installed at one or more sides of the hopper and transfer guide. The first vibration unit vibrates the hopper and transfer guide and prevents the iron scrap from being jammed while being transferred. |
