PURPOSE: An integrated detection and identification apparatus for a biological agent is provided to improve a response capability and to minimize damage to human lives from a biological attack or threat. CONSTITUTION: An integrated detection and identification apparatus for a biological agent includes a particle monitoring unit (10), an air collector (20), a detector (30), an identifying unit (40), an operation computer (50), and a power distribution unit (60). The particle monitoring unit selectively concentrates atmospheric suspended particles, and monitors biological particles with analyzing the concentrations and the variations of the total particles and the biological particles. The air collector selectively concentrates suspended particles in the air, and collects the liquefied particles. The detector implements an ultrasonic crushing process, a test solution mixing process, and a fluorescence reaction process on specimens collected in the air collector, and classifies the biological particles into microbes and toxins. The identify unit identifies the kind of a biological weapon using an antigen-antibody reaction process on the specimens in the air collector. The operation computer operates and controls main equipment and auxiliary equipment in a detection system. |
