A thermosetting resin composition is provided to form no stain on an external appearance, to ensure excellent planarization and mechanical properties, and to produce a protective layer having acid resistance and alkali resistance without causing a yellowing phenomenon even at high temperature. A thermosetting resin composition includes (A) copolymers of (a1) an unsaturated carboxylic acid or anhydride thereof, (a2) an epoxy group-containing unsaturated compound, and (a3) an olefin-based unsaturated compound, (B) a curable compound, and (C) a hardener comprising a carboxylic acid or anhydride thereof. The composition has a viscosity of 2.0-4.0 mPa . S at 25 °C. The copolymers(A) have a mass average molecular weight, in terms of polystyrene, of 2,000-20,000. |
