PURPOSE: An organic electronic light emitting diode using cyclopenta phenanthrene is provided to show high light emitting efficiency, low driving voltage, color purity, and long lifetime. CONSTITUTION: A compound for an organic electronic element is denoted by chemical formula 1. The organic electronic element contains one or more organic layers containing the compound. The organic electronic element sequentially comprises a first electrode, the organic layers, and a second electrode. The organic layers are selected among a light emitting layer, a hole injection layer, a hole transport layer, an electronic injection layer, and an electron transport layer. An electronic device comprises a display device containing the organic electronic element; and a control unit which drives the display device.
