PURPOSE: A propeller boss cap for a ship is provided to reduce the erosion of a rudder due to hub vortex by moving a starting point of the vortex toward a stem and to prevent the vortex by generating various turbulences at the wake of a propeller. CONSTITUTION: A propeller boss cap for a ship(550) is installed in the rear side of a propeller boss connected to a propeller shaft. A boss groove is formed on one surface of the boss cap facing a rudder. The depth of the center part of the boss groove is not same as the edge part of the boss groove thereof.
