An image forming device and a data storing method thereof are provided to extend a storage area of the image forming device by storing data generated from the inside and received from the outside with a grid service when a memory is insufficient to store the data. A controller(120) checks the remaining memory capacity of a storing part(110) when data to be stored is found. A grid client unit(130) stores the data by transferring the data to data grids(10,20) when the remaining memory capacity is insufficient to store the data. The grid client unit reads the data stored in the data grid and store the read data to the storing part when the memory capacity sufficient to store the data is secured. The grid client unit broadcasts a request for storing the data to a plurality of data grids supporting a grid service and transfers the data to the data grid transferring acknowledgement for the request. The grid client unit generates a list matching a name of the transferred data with the name of the data grid storing the data. |
