COMPOSITIONS FOR HOT START REVERSE TRANSCRIPTION REACTION OR HOT START REVERSE TRANSCRIPTION POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION

PURPOSE: A composition for hot start reverse transcription is provided to perform RNA amplification with high sensitivity and to enable simple multiplex reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) or real-time RT-PCR. CONSTITUTION: A composition for hot start reverse transcription contains Mg2+ ions, four kinds of dNTPs, reverse transcriptase, pyrophosphate, and pyrophosphatase. The concentration of the pyrophosphate and the pytophosphatase is 0.1-5 mM and 0.005-0.25 U, respectively. The composition additionally contains one or more reverse transcription primers. The composition is a frozen or dried composition. The composition also contains template nucleic acids.
