PURPOSE: A microporous layer for a fuel cell is provided to reduce the concentration of a sulfide introduced into a catalyst, to prevent the performance degradation of a fuel cell, and to provide fuel cell with high skin toxicity to a sulfide. CONSTITUTION: A microporous layer for a fuel cell includes a carbon absorbent with a specific surface area of 500-200 m^2/g and carbon powder. The carbon absorbent contains a basic functional group on the surface thereof. The pH of the carbon absorbent is 8-11. The amount of the carbon absorbent included is 5-50 parts by weight per 100.0 parts by weight.
