The installation (1) has a modular infrastructure (10) that is intended to accommodate a set of photovoltaic solar panels (2) that comprises a set of individual frames (11). The set of frames is juxtaposed and disjoined, and is ready to support the solar panels. Each of the frames is based on a surface of a building (4). The set of frames is provided with feet (13) and the frames are fixed at the surface by its exclusive stowing units (14) without dividing a set of reserve units (12). The feet and the stowing units are not provided close to the frames. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a field of solar panels.
