FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for electrolysis of vapour fed under pressure into the anode space (32) of an electrolysis cell (30), equipped with a proton-conducting membrane (31) made from a material which enables protonated particles to be embedded into said membrane under the vapour, said proton-conducting membrane being impervious for diffusion of Oand H, where there is oxidation of water fed in vapour form at the anode (32) so as to generate protonated particles in the membrane, which migrate inside that membrane and are reduced on the surface of the cathode (33) in form of reactive hydrogen atoms, capable of reducing carbon dioxide COand/or carbon monoxide CO. The method includes steps of feeding COand/or CO under pressure into the cathode space (33) of the electrolysis cell (30), reducing COand/or CO, fed into the cathode space (33), from said reactive hydrogen atoms generated such that COand/or CO forms compounds of the type CHO, where x?1; y lies between 0 and 2x+2 and z lies between 0 and 2x.EFFECT: cutting the amount of existing carbon dioxide, for example by reusing said carbon dioxide in form of compounds that are usable in chemical industry or power generation.17 cl, 3 dwg |
