The present invention relates to an air-conditioning apparatus (1) of the window-mounted type with a reduced level of noise transmitted to a closed room and which, in addition, minimises or reduces heat exchange between the cold and hot parts thereof. This air-conditioning apparatus (1) is provided with at least one first portion (2) that comprises at least one evaporator. Moreover, the air-conditioning apparatus (1) is provided with at least one second portion (3) comprising at least one condenser and one compressor functionally associated with the evaporator. In addition, the air-conditioning apparatus (1) is provided with at least one vacuum chamber (4) located between the first portion (2) and the second portion (3).
