PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding seal allowing a first member to move smothly with respect to a second member, and having a long lifetime.SOLUTION: A sliding seal includes: first and second lips 19, 20 which are circumferentially formed on an inner circumferential surface of the sliding seal 11, and slidably pressed against a sliding surface 22 of a first member 12; an annular lubricant keeping groove 23 formed between the first lip 19 and the second lip 20; first to third fixed projecting parts 25, 26, 27 which are circumferentially formed on an outer circumferential surface of the sliding seal 11; a first escape groove 28 which is circumferentially formed on the outer circumferential surface of the sliding seal 11, and formed between a first fixed projecting part 25 and the second fixed projecting part 26; and a second escape groove 29 which is formed between the second fixed projecting part 26 and the third fixed projecting part 27. First and second lip fore end parts 19a, 20a are formed on the inner side in the radial direction of the sliding seal 11 with respect to the first and second escape grooves 28, 29. |
