<p>The invention relates to the field of computer engineering and can be used in the manufacture of system units for personal computers. The technical result consists in increasing the effectiveness of the cooling of components of the system unit for a personal computer by virtue of producing a directional flow of cold air towards components of the system unit that are sensitive to heating. The system unit for a personal computer comprises a vertically oriented housing with ventilation openings for the intake of air inside the housing and the removal of air from the housing, a central processor, a video card and expansion cards attached to the motherboard, which is mounted inside the housing vertically, a power supply unit, hard disk drives, a DVD reader/writer, air radiators and fans. Furthermore, the DVD device is arranged above the motherboard, and the power supply unit and the hard disk drive are arranged below the motherboard. Also, ventilation openings for the removal of air are formed at the top of the housing, and ventilation openings for the intake of air are arranged at the bottom of the housing. The fans are mounted above the ventilation openings so as to enable air to be fed from the bottom upwards.</p> |
