[Class 52 (i)] A drawer unit comprises a metal plate having a downwardly bent member or cheek at each side which have supports independently of the side cheeks, for movably supporting a drawer and means constructed independently of the drawer attached to the side of the drawer' for engaging the supports. As shown the drawer supports comprises a metal top plate 1 with front and rear flanges 2, 3 provided with bolt holes for securement to the members of a supporting frame. The. top plate 1 is provided with depending side cheeks 6 formed with channels 8. The sides 11 of the drawer are provided with out-turned flanges 12 which bear at each side on a roller 9 journalled in a strip 7 carried by the depending sides 6 with a roller 10 carried by the drawer side bears on the channel 8. The front of the drawer comprises a plate secured to the sides and bottom of the drawer the plate having flanges to which a front plate 16 is secured. In another form the drawer is furnished at each side with a strip having curved top and bottom edges which slide in a complementary strip secured to each depending cheek 6. A stop is provided to prevent withdrawal of the drawer and it is pivoted to permit insertion of the drawer. |
