PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data acquisition device, capable of acquiring data from a large number of slave terminals in a short time with secured reliability, and a multi-hop communication system using the data acquisition device.SOLUTION: A master terminal 1 establishes a communication route with each of the plurality of slave terminals 2 to perform multi-hop communication, and successively transmits an inquiry signal to each slave terminal 2, so as to perform polling communication to receive meter reading data from each slave terminal 2. When the master terminal 1 transmits an inquiry signal S3 to a slave terminal 23 after successively transmitting inquiry signals S1, S2 to slave terminals 21, 22, the master terminal 1 transmits the inquiry signal S3 to the slave terminal 23 irrespective of before or after receiving the meter reading data from each of the slave terminals 21, 22. |
