PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method and a manufacturing device for an optical film preventing temperature control failure caused by a gap between a base material and a temperature control roll caused by an accompanied wind generated when a conveying speed of the base material is increased by coating curing by UV irradiation in web coating, and preventing insufficient curing and having no wrinkles and curls of the base material.SOLUTION: In web coating of a UV/EB-curable resin coating liquid to a film base material, a method for manufacturing an optical film includes providing a temperature control roll on a surface facing a coating film surface of the film base material, and applying UV or EB irradiation to the coating film surface. A pressure reduction mechanism is provided on a conveyance inlet side in conveyance of the film base material in a position in which the temperature control roll and the surface facing the coating film surface on the film base material are brought into contact with each other. |
