PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker capable of efficiently avoiding an overflow of foam, and to provide a method for preventing the overflow of the foam inside the electric rice cooker.SOLUTION: An electric rice cooker having an overflow prevention function of foam includes: a surface lid 1 formed with an exhaust hole 11; an inner lid 2 provided under the surface lid, and formed with a steam hole 21; and a lid plate 3 provided under the inner lid, and formed with an intake hole. The exhaust hole, the steam hole, and the intake hole form a steam passage together, and the steam passage is provided with a negative pressure generation device 107. According to the electric rice cooker, because the foam having entered the steam passage inflates and bursts open by a pressure difference between foam internal pressure and negative pressure by providing the negative pressure generation device, an overflow of the foam can be avoided, an operation is easy, and cost is reduced. |
