PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush with a pigtail for a compact DC motor.SOLUTION: A brush with a pigtail for a compact DC motor is obtained in the following manner. That is, copper powder and carbon powder are loaded into a metal mold by using a powder compression molding machine, a pigtail 2 is inserted therein from above, and this is subjected to integral molding and then firing at high temperatures. As a wire rod used for the pigtail 2, a stranded wire is employed which is obtained by flattening a net bare stranded copper wire, stranded copper wire, or flexible stranded copper wire by applying pressure thereto. A narrow part a of the flattened pigtail 2 is arranged and inserted in a width direction x of a brush 1 having a narrower width. This is subjected to integral molding, followed by firing at high temperatures. |
