PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxynitride-based phosphor having high internal quantum efficiency.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a phosphor includes: a first calcination process for calcining a phosphor raw material under atmosphere containing nitrogen; and a second calcination process for calcining a calcined product obtained in the first calcination process under atmosphere containing nitrogen. Components supplied as the phosphor raw material is set to a composition represented by formula (1): (A, Z)DENO. The maximum temperature reached in the first calcination process is at least 1,300 °C and at most 1,700°C, and the maximum temperature reached in the second calcination process is at least 1,600 °C and at most 2,000°C, while the maximum temperature reached in the second calcination process is set higher than the maximum temperature reached in the first calcination process. |
