Provided in the present invention are a cylinder head automatic locking apparatus and a spooled yarn dyeing machine comprising the apparatus. The cylinder head automatic locking apparatus is arranged between a cylinder head (1) and a cylinder body (2). Arranged on the cylinder head (1) are teeth (12) that are uniformly distributed along the circumference. A clamp (21) holding the cylinder cover (1) is arranged on the upper-end of the of the cylinder body (2). The clamp (21) is provided with an annular groove for accommodating the teeth (12) and with an annular flange arranged on top of the annular groove. The annular flange is provided thereon with a groove (213) matching the teeth (12). Also comprised are: a boom (3), arranged above the cylinder head (1), hindgedly connected at a first end to the cylinder head (1), and hindgedly connected at a second end to the clamp (21); a driving apparatus having a driving end, where the driving end is connected to a location on the cylinder head (1) away from the central axis of the cylinder head (1) to drive the cylinder head (1) into rotation around the central axis of the cylinder head (1), thereby locking or unlocking the cylinder head (1). The present invention saves labor, has great production efficiency, reduces labor costs, increases the levels of mechanization and automation for the apparatus, and facilitates implementation of automated production.
