[Problem] With related art, it has not been possible, with relation to content which cannot be presently used, to promptly ascertain information as to how to make it possible to use such content. [Solution] The present invention proposes a content usage system comprising: a content retaining unit which retains a content ID which is associated with usage conditions; a search unit which searches content from the content retaining unit; a search result acquisition unit which acquires a search result; a satisfaction condition acquisition unit which acquires a condition which is satisfied with a content usage device with which the content is used; and a supplementary information acquisition unit which, for each content which is denoted with the search result, using the usage conditions and the satisfaction conditions, acquires supplementary information which denotes a condition to be additionally satisfied for allowing or disallowing usage and/or to use the content.
