PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a battery from falling due to opening of a cover of a battery holding part when a handle part is held for carrying about.SOLUTION: A printer of an embodiment includes: a device body part including a printing part; a holding part provided in the device body part and having an opening in the side wall of the device body part; a cover provided to be freely openable and closable in the opening of the holding part; and a handle part provided to be movable to a first position where the handle part is in a state for lifting up the device body part and to a second position where the handle part is in a state where the handle part is located on the side of the device body part. Further, the printer includes a connection mechanism provided between the handle part and the body part, connecting the handle part and the body part, when the handle part is in the first position and releasing the connection of the handle part and the body part, when the handle part is in the second position and a pressing piece provided in the handle part and located in the outside front surface of the cover, when the handle part is set in the first position. |
