PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device that uses most of drive time for displaying an image without reducing the ratio of a light-emitting region per one pixel circuit of the organic EL display device.SOLUTION: The organic EL display device is constituted by arranging a plurality of pixel circuits 10 that comprises: an organic EL element 32; a memory capacitor 33 holding a voltage according to an image signal; a drive transistor 34 flowing current according to the voltage of the memory capacitor 33 to the organic EL element 32; and a current switch 35 connecting or disconnecting the drive transistor 34 and the organic EL element 32. There is also provided an inter-pixel switch 15 that connects or disconnects a node between an organic EL element 32(p, j) and a current switch 35(p, j) of one pixel circuit 10(p, j) of a pair of adjacent pixel circuits 10, and a node between an organic EL element 32(p+1, j) and a current switch 35(p+1, j) of the other pixel circuit 10(p+1, j). |
