PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mat-like packing material having a gas barrier layer excellent in a gas barrier property, in particular, an oxygen barrier property, and also excellent in flexibility, matting performance, moisture proofness and chemical resistance.SOLUTION: A gas barrier mat film is obtained by providing a mat layer comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane resin and a silica particle, on one film face, and by forming a gas barrier layer with a water-soluble solution having 3.5 or less of regulated pH satisfying general formula (1), in a mixture of a hydrolyzate of alkoxysilane and/or alkoxysilane polycondensate, and a polyvinyl alcohol (mixed amount of the polyvinyl alcohol to silicon oxide generated from the hydrolyzate of alkoxysilane and/or alkoxysilane polycondensate is 25-100 wt.% of polyvinyl alcohol per 100 wt.% of silicon oxide (in terms of SiO) in a hydrolyzed liquid). |
