PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing support base for cutting an ingot, which is improved in cutting performance by improving cutting property of a phenol resin molding material.SOLUTION: A fixing support base (15) for cutting an ingot (12) is formed of a phenol resin molding material that is blended with a phenol resin and a mineral with a hardness in terms of a Mohs hardness of 2.5 or less as essential ingredients.
