PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of producing alloy pieces with no deformed pieces admixed by sorting efficiently alloy pieces produced by a strip casting method into flaky pieces and deformed ones.SOLUTION: A method of producing alloy pieces includes feeding alloy pieces casted by a strip casting method to a comb-like sieve 13 having slit-like clearances 16 formed with two or more teeth 14 arranged at specified intervals W and vibrating the sieve 13 to sort the alloy pieces into ones passing through the slit-like clearances 16 and ones remaining on the sieve 13. When the average thickness of the alloy pieces fed to the comb-like sieve 13 is T, the interval W of the teeth 14 of the comb-like sieve 13 is preferably ≤10T.
