PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: when printing is continued by using a toner extra use function after the occurrence of "toner depletion error," if the printing is continued while toner is completely used up, a printer itself may be broken.SOLUTION: When printing is continued by using a toner extra use function after the occurrence of "toner depletion error," density measurement is performed at an execution timing in a density measurement execution timing table according to a failure property of a printer. When a decrease in density is recognized from a density measurement result, the printing is immediately stopped and resumption of the printing is inhibited except replacement of a toner cartridge. |
