PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily manufacturing a film for forming an optical waveguide, with which a long optical waveguide can be manufactured, in a space-saving manner, a method for manufacturing an optical waveguide by using the film, and a long optical waveguide manufactured by the method.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an optical waveguide includes the steps of: supplying a liquid composition 100 to an outer peripheral surface 910 of a drum 91 while rotating the drum (rotor) 91 and moving a discharge nozzle 92 in a direction parallel to a rotation axis of the drum 91, and drying an obtained spiral liquid coat 101, to spirally form a film (a film for forming an optical waveguide) (a method for manufacturing a film for forming an optical waveguide); and exposing a part of the film formed on the outer peripheral surface 910 to form a refractive index difference in the film, thereby forming a core part and a clad part. |
