PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell that provides stable high power.SOLUTION: A fuel cell includes a membrane electrode assembly 10, an anode plate 31, a cathode plate 40, and a pressing mechanism 50. The membrane electrode assembly 10 has: an electrolyte membrane 17; a plurality of anodes 13 that are arranged at intervals on a first surface of the electrolyte membrane 17; and a plurality of cathodes 16 that are arranged at intervals on a second surface of the electrolyte membrane 17 so as to face the respective anodes 13. The anode plate 31 is arranged on an anode side of the membrane electrode assembly 10, and has a first flat inner surface facing the anodes 13. The cathode plate 40 is flat-shaped, is arranged on a cathode side of the membrane electrode assembly 10, and has a second flat inner surface facing the cathodes 16. The pressing mechanism 50 presses the anode plate 31 and the cathode plate 40 toward the membrane electrode assembly 10. |
