PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image capturing device capable of accurately detecting a focal point even when information required for aberration correction is unavailable.SOLUTION: An image capturing device includes: a plurality of microlenses two-dimensionally arranged to receive a light beam that has passed through an imaging optical system; a photosensitive element array having a plurality of photosensitive elements arranged behind the microlenses such that each photosensitive element is positioned behind a respective microlens; aberration detection means which detects aberration information associated with aberration of the imaging optical system based on output signals from the photosensitive element array generated in response to a light beam that has passed through the imaging optical system at a first aperture value; focus detection means which detects a focus adjustment state of the imaging optical system based on the output signals from the photosensitive element array generated in response to a light beam that has passed through the imaging optical system at a second aperture value; and correction means which corrects the focus adjustment state of the imaging optical system detected by the focus detection means based on the aberration information and the second aperture value. |
