PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of clothing under drying operation in a clothing dryer of a drum type.SOLUTION: A clothing dryer comprises: a tube-shaped drum 13 containing clothing M; ventilation and exhaust means 22 ventilating and exhausting the air in the drum 13; heating means 18 heating the air supplied in the drum 13 by the ventilation and exhaust means 22; and control means which executes drying operation sending the air heated by the heating means 18 as warm wind for a lower area in the drum 13 while repeating normal and reverse rotations of the drum 13. The control means has a control structure making the drum 13 stop and reverse its rotation after having stopped heating of the air by the heating means 18 when the reverse rotation of the drum 13 is indicated while the execution of the dry operation. |
