PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable correction of meandering of an endless belt smoothly and stably with a simple mechanism.SOLUTION: In an intermediate transfer unit 50, contact members 28A and 28B disposed in long holes 271A and 271B of long hole holding members 27A and 27B have ribs 281A and 281B smaller than the long hole holding members 27A and 27B in the dimension in the axis direction 101. Deviation transmitting members 25A and 25B are externally inserted into a shaft member 21 and inserted into the long holes 271A and 271B. The deviation transmitting members 25A and 25B are moved along the shaft member 21 according to the deviation of an intermediate transfer belt 51. Energizing members 26A and 26B energize the shaft member 21 in a direction where the tension of the intermediate transfer belt becomes strong. |
