PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent conductive film structure in which the adverse effect that a transparent conductive film interrupts visibility of a display device when the structure is used as a touch panel structure is eliminated, and to provide a manufacturing method of the transparent conductive film structure.SOLUTION: A transparent conductive film structure is configured with a transparent substrate and a transparent conductive film having a circuit pattern shape provided on the substrate. The transparent conductive film structure includes, in an area near the outer edge of the transparent conductive film, a refractive index buffer part configured with a forward tapered part group formed of the transparent conductive film and having such a shape that the tip is tapered and a backward tapered part group formed of the transparent substrate and having such a shape that the tip inversely becomes wider. The refractive index buffer part is divided into unit areas that are parallel with the outer edge in a width direction and have the same width dimension. The refractive indices of the unit areas at the refractive index buffer part sequentially change from the outermost unit area having substantially the same refractive index as that of the transparent substrate toward the innermost unit area having substantially the same refractive index as that of the transparent conductive film.
