PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain color reproducibility with satisfactory quality without re-tuning even when a recording paper to be used is changed.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus comprises: ground color influence degree acquisition means for acquiring the ground color influence degree of the recording paper to be used; reference vector acquisition means which acquires a reference vector for correcting the ground color of the recording paper to be used to the ground color of a paper set to the reference; and color correction means which corrects color processing parameters to be used for image formation set to the recording paper to be used, using the ground color influence degree acquired by the ground color influence degree acquisition means and a reference vector acquired by the white reference vector acquisition means.
