PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pad for preventing furniture from falling down which prevents a tool for preventing furniture from falling down to be laid under the front of the furniture from being made to come off the furniture by an earthquake.SOLUTION: A pad for preventing furniture from falling down includes a mounting plate 2 to be laid under the front of the furniture, and holddown pins 3 preventing the mounting plate 2 from jumping out. The holddown pins 3 are rotatably held on the mounting plate 2. To lay the pad 1 for preventing furniture from falling down under the furniture, with the rears 3b of the holddown pins 3 which correspond to the rear of a furniture plinth kept parallel with a floor surface, the pad is laid under the furniture, and the fronts 3a of the holddown pins 3 are rotated nearly 90° to keep them parallel with the floor to make the rears 3b corresponding to the rear of the furniture plinth nearly vertical and to bring the rears 3b into contact with the rear of the furniture plinth and prevent the pad 1 for preventing furniture from falling down from being made to jump out by the slipping or movement of the furniture by an earthquake. |
