A package (1) is provided with an inner case (3) which contains cigarettes (C) and an outer case (2) which contains the inner case (3) so that the inner case (3) can move relative to the outer case (2). The inner case (3) moves relative to the outer case (2) as opening operation is performed. As a result, a part of the upper surface of the inner case (3) is exposed to the outside as an extraction opening, and this enables access to the cigarettes (C). The package (1) is provided with a partition band strip (4). The base end side of the partition band strip (4) is affixed to the inner surface of the inner case (3), and the front end side of the partition band strip (4) is inserted through a first slit opening window (31A) formed in the inner case (3). As a result, a part of the partition band strip (4) is exposed to the outside, and the partition band strip (4) partitions the region in the inner case (3) into a cigarette-containing section (P1) and a non-cigarette-containing section (P2). Adjusting the amount of forward movement of the partition band strip (4) from the first slit opening window (31A) to the outside of the inner case (3) enables the ratio between the cigarette-containing section (P1) and the non-cigarette-containing section (P2) to be changed.
